Signals From VARA Pro Q2/2025

Estimates versus Actuals

Companies are struggling to meet top-line expectations. After 56% exceeded sales estimates in Q1, only 30% managed to do so in Q2.

On the other hand, 59% of our customers beat bottom-line expectations in Q2 – a historically high level, in line with the long-term median of 59% (based on two-thirds of past quarters).

Sales and Earnings Growth

Despite the challenging environment, growth expectations for both the top and bottom line remain unchanged. Twelve-month forecasts stand at 8% for sales and 21.6% for earnings.

TTM (Index)

The earnings are runnig ahead of the sales growth. Hence, the companies are currently working with high margins. Are these sustainable?

Estimates Compass

Both expectations and current situation are on the negative side. Hence, we went in Q2/2025 from expansion to contraction phase.
